Ask your doctor to send your referral to 3T Cayman, or get in touch and we’ll help arrange it for you.
We'll review your referral and find a scan time that suits your schedule. We'll also coordinate your insurance approval and pre-certification.
We’ll send you everything you need to know beforehand, so you arrive feeling prepared and at ease.
Visit us for your scan in a calm, comfortable environment with our advanced 3T MRI scanner.
Results are typically ready within 24 hours and shared with your doctor.
We make sure you feel prepared, informed and at ease.
Please bring your ID and insurance details with you and arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time.
Let us know about any medical conditions, implants, allergies or medications so we can plan your scan safely.
You’ll be asked to remove all jewellery, watches, dentures and any other metal items. Your belongings will be stored securely. Nothing containing metal can enter the scan room.
In most cases you can eat and drink as normal beforehand. Some scans require fasting, we’ll let you know in advance if your scan needs any preparation.
Some scans use a contrast dye to improve image clarity. If you need contrast, we’ll explain exactly what to expect.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous. Our team will support you and keep you comfortable throughout. If needed, your doctor can prescribe a mild sedative.
We make your scan experience as calm, comfortable and reassuring as possible.
You'll need to change into a gown. Private changing space and secure lockers are provided to store your belongings. You'll also need to complete a safety screening form.
You'll lie on a comfortable table that moves slowly into the MRI scanner. You'll hear tapping or knocking sounds during the scan. This is completely normal, and ear protection is provided. Remaining still helps us capture the clearest images possible.
Our advanced 3T MRI scanner has the widest opening. You won't be fully enclosed—the scanner is open at both ends, and often only the area being examined is inside. We also offer a calming environment with personalised lighting, calming nature visuals and soothing music.
Most scans take between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the area being examined.
You call button is always to hand so that you can communicate with the technologist at any time.
We’ll guide you through the next steps and what to expect afterwards.
