Does an MRI involve radiation?
No. MRI uses powerful magnets and advanced imaging technology rather than X-ray radiation. This makes it a safe, non-invasive way to produce highly detailed images of the body without exposing patients to ionising radiation used in scans such as CT or X-rays.
How long does an MRI scan take?
Most MRI scans take between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the area being scanned and the type of images required. Our team will let you know the expected duration when you book your appointment.
When will my results be available?
Your results will be reported by one of our expert radiologists and made available within 24 hours to your referring physician.
Can someone come into the room with me?
In most cases, yes. A companion may join you in the scan room provided they do not have any metal implants or devices that are contraindicated for MRI. Please let our team know when you arrive and they will advise you.
How much does an MRI cost in Cayman?
